Bhote-Koshi River

The Bhote Kosi is known as the River from Tibet and you can start a trip after a peak over the border into Tibet. Bhote Koshi is the beautiful for adventure trip with very steep and basically non-stop mountain river only 3 hours drives from Kathmandu offering tow days of intense and challenging river activity.

You are beginning to understand what this great trip in Nepal offers you nothing less than the ride of a lifetime. Bhote Kosi is probably the most exciting short rafting trip in Nepal and best white water adventure in the world has been variously described as: "Like a pin-ball Machine-and you' re the ball" "Like being flushed down on open air toilet" "Expedition River" etc. With the adventure of Bhote Koshi you also get the chance to observe emerald green fields are terraced high above the river on precipitous slopes, curious villagers lining suspension bridges are amazed as we plunge through cascading waves and chutes of foam.

 

 

 

Itinerary :
Day 1: We take a trip to 95 km. east from Kathmandu is the starting point Lomosangu- Dam of the trip. This is a spectacular drive through villages & if weather permits, you'll have fantastic mountain views (Ganesh Himal, Langtang etc) we raft the first 10 km of the MOST exciting stretch of the river and then return to the start to play again the same stretch the next day but paddling to the end. Drives back to our camp.
Day 2: Around 6:30 in the morning wake up Tea and Breakfast quick pack-up and set our (approx 8 to 9 a.m.) run white water hit a class 2 or 3 rapids "BIJILI RAPID" and "TEA POT" and stop for the lunch. After that raft is going to take out point Simaltal and drive back to Kathmandu.

Price for the Trip :

The cost for the trek or tour will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you choose in Kathmandu and/or another destination will make a difference to the overall costing (budget to 5 star accommodation). The mode of transportation you prefer is the another factor which affects the cost of your package, for example prices change significantly between flight versus private car/van, tourist/local bus. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. From above reason the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.

  • Any other Road Transportation and / or Air Transportation not mentioned in "Service Includes".
  • Any other meals not mentioned in "Service Includes".
  • Any kind of hard or soft drinks or mineral bottle water during whole trip.
  • Tour Guide of any language (can arrange if demanded & cost will be extra).
  • Any Entrance fees in Heritage sites, Temples, Museums, Caves and Parks in Kathmandu and other cities which is not mentioned in "Service Includes".
  • Sleeping bags for Rafting (NPR 50.00 per bag per night).
  • Emergency Transportation / Evacuation.
  • Extra cost for unseen & unstoppable circumstances (natural disaster, flight cancel, strike etc)
