Langtang & Helambu Region

The Langtang & Helambu region is situated in the north of Kathmandu and also easily accessible from the capital. This region is also popular for teahouse trekking with less crowd than Annapurna & Everest region. All the trials in this region make an ideal trek by Tamang & Sherpa culture, custom, dialog, lifestyle & their hospitality. Passing through the traditional, ethinic Tamang & Sherpa villages, the untouched forests of temperate & sub-alpine vegetation, wildlife including deer, pika, tahr, monkey & migratory birds with view of rocky & snowy peaks & grassy downhills are another attraction of this region. This region is also richwith ornately carved wooden windows, lively dance festivals, skilled weaving traditions, cultural heritage, holy Gosaikunda lake & Helambu region in south, snow redges spanning angry torrents high passes enveloped in mist tiny lakes of crystalline britness & glaciated mountain giant in the north & Ganesh Himal with a range of 6000 to 7000 meters to the west of this region. The highlights of this region include Langtang valley, Helambu region, Kyanjing gompa, Langtang lirung glacier, Langsisa Ri (peak) and holy Gosaikunda lake (one of the holiest lake in Nepal).
